Three Awards are presented to outstanding women achievers at the event (1) Education (2) Health (3) Economic Development. In addition, one Community Service Award is presented to an outstanding agency.

Women of Color provides supports for conferences, lectures, and workshops educational mentoring and family life enhancements, particularly in the areas of health, education, and economic development for an annual self- development forum aimed at enriching and uplifting the goals to empower women and girls. Funds for these programs are raised by board members from public and corporate donations, as well as grant writing endeavors.

In the future, it is anticipated that sufficient funding sources will be cultivated to establish an institute for educational mentoring and leadership training for women and girls. Partnership with various organizations of diverse professional backgrounds and expertise will be utilized to provide training for the institute.
